School Tours
Click here to schedule a school tour. Because we are fully enrolled for the 2026-27 school year, we are not touring families at this time. Due to high demand and to honor valuable crew learning time, our tour availability allows up to 3 families to sign up for a time slot at a time and we only tour families whose children will be elementary-aged the following school year. Our tour season begins in October for the following school year, but we make exceptions for spots available for the current school year. Application Documents
Use this link for your easy online application submission! Within the form you will find a link to send to your child’s current teacher. Families are required to sign up for a tour prior to filling out an application.
Tuition
Highlands Micro School is 100% tuition-funded. Tuition for the 2026-27 school year is $16,900. Our tuition typically increases by 5% every year. In August, enrolled families have the option of paying tuition in full or over 10 monthly payments.
Admissions Criteria
Parents should complete a tour the school year prior to their interest year of enrollment with the director to ensure the parents’ understanding of the Micro philosophy and determine a good school fit. In addition to submitting an application and teacher evaluation for enrollment, potential students will be required to participate in a Shadow Day in late January/February, where they join us for the school day. Siblings will be given priority in open positions. Efforts are made to equally distribute ages and sexes.

If you would like to apply, please sign up for a tour first. Please reach out to kate@highlandsmicroschool.com if you’d like to tour during the summer months. Because we are fully enrolled for the 2026-27 school year, we will not be offering tours this summer.
